Rockbox Utility network errors
« on: September 19, 2009, 06:14:04 AM »
I obviously don't use the utility daiuly but I went to use it yesterday and on startup it creates a dialog box saying:

"Network error: request aborted. Please check your network and proxy settings."

Then

"Can't get version information"

My proxy settings are "No proxy" as it's always been. All other internet access seems to be fine.

Trying to install an archived version gives

"Download error: received HTTP error 404.

I've tried turning of my security software - makes no difference to the problem.

My version is 1.2.2 but just to be sure I tried downloading a fresh copy and I still get the same errors.

Any suggestions?

It is somewhat broken at the moment as we changed server.  Hopefully this will be fixed soon - for now you can update manually by downloading the appropriate zip file and unzipping it to your player.
