Metronome, rockbox 3.3, iRiver h320
(1/1)
Boudin:
Hi,
I've just updated my h320 rockbox installation from an old 2.x (don't remember exactly the version), to the 3.3 using rockbox utility (and using h300 1.29EU firmware, the odd one named 1.30EU). The metronome wasn't working on my 2.x installation (player freeze, had to push the reset button). Now it runs (I've got the screen telling me to press play, the volume and tempo) but it's not working. I can change the volume and the tempo using up/down left/right but nothing happens when I press play, select (I suppose it's the navi button), and I can't quit the application by pressing stop button. I can power off the player by pressing stop several seconds. I've tried to plug the remote (without LCD), and play remote's play button, but nothing happens either.
Is there something that I missed on configuration ? (it's like play and stop button were not mapped).
Thanks
Edit :
I just find out that my player wasn't well flashed (I still have the 1.29j version firmware that I installed two years ago with rockbox 2.x). Rockbox 3.3 is running well and buttons are well handled by all other applications.
My questions are :
can it comes from here ?
do I have to flash my player with the new patched firmware generated by rockbox utility or this part didn't changed since rockbox 2 ? (as everything seems to works well except metronome, it would be great to avoid an useless firmware flash ^^)
Edit 2 :
I've just check in source code and seen that there's parts of code that are specific to h300 plateform, especially for the play & tap key map. Can someone with a h320 or h340 test the metronome and see if he have the same problem ? Thanks

Hi !
Same problem here on a h120 with Rockbox 3.4. It seems that play, tap, stop buttons are not recognized.
However, a long pressure on STOP will cause the player to stop. It is by the way the only solution to quit the metronome.
Best regards.
