Recording with italk

Hi everyone,
I'm a freshman in the rockbox world (I installed it just a few hs ago).
I tried recording using the italk microphone but I couldn't. I use a 4thg 60 gb ipod photo. I searched the forum but I couldn't find anything. Can someone help me?
And while I'm at it, I was considering buying a radio transmitter (belkin, griffin or similar) do they work with rockbox?
