TOO QUIET

I have recorded a few files, but the playback is extremely quiet.  The frequency has only one option 44.1khz and I have tried adjusting the mono, stereo settings with no luck.  Is there something wrong?  I am trying to record through the earbuds into a 4G greyscale iPod  Thank you for your reply.

Try using an actual microphone, preferably with preamp.

So it is not possible to record with earbuds, at least at a volume that is audible?  I saw a post about people being able to pickup the slightest whispers, too good to be true I guess?

By picking up "the slightest whispers" I'm sure they meant "what I hear sounds like the slightest whispers compared to the real loudness" not "I can pick up even the faintest sounds."
