Some specs include WiFi. Some don't.

Let me rephrase my question:

Since Rockbox for the Onda VX777 is in current development, does Rockbox yet support the WiFi feature of the Onda VX777?

Theres no networking support at all in Rockbox, so no.  No idea if the hardware has WIFI or not though.
