Ipod docking stations

(I hope it's the right place for posting this...)

I have an Ipod 5.5g (30GB) and would like to use a docking station to (remote) control it (while Rockbox firmware is running).

With the Ipod Universal Dock, only the volume in-/decrease works with the remote control. (This feature is probably due to the Dock itself...)
With a JVC RA-P10 the play button works like the select button of the Ipod and the for-/backward ones just cause the back lighting to switch on...

Is there any way of doing better than this ?

you may try FS#10623, you might get a better behaviour of your remote.

Because it either:

a)  Isn't complete
b)  Needs testing to make sure it doesn't break anything else
c)  Isn't coded according to the Rockbox standards
d)  Hasn't been reviewed by a developer and everyone does this in their spare time
e)  Isn't done in the "correct" way
f) etc. etc. etc.

I have no idea what it is for this patch, but it could be many reasons.
