Hi chronon me again ::) I have just  performed the following:
Turn on Player showed RB 5 then went Back to SDK Splash, Drives Recognized,>Download 1.2.2 >Run Boot utility > open>Etc >Unzipped all files>Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\DT58QUQ0\rbutilqt-v1.2.2[1] > Next >In RB Utility> Min Install/ Download 3.3 successful

It still goes Black screen, unless I hold down the Forward Button then it Goes SD Splash/Rockbox5/ RB Firmware/ Then back to SD Slash/Refresh Data/SD Music,Settings Etc/
In Sandisk settings still Say's Version010107P” should I get a Gun and Shoot It ;D Dasha

It is very hard to follow your posts.

Did you Start RockBox Utility on your computer?  Did RockBox Utility recognize your Sansa player.

Try this without the SD card inserted.

Also, Check the Root Directory of your player for the .Rockbox Folder.  I don't believe you have installed RockBox as of yet.

Sorry bruceHP I will try and make this more detailed: :)
If I  Turn on my SansDisk normally And Or by Connecting Via the USB Cable to my Computer:
It show’s /the Yellow Rockbox (5) Logo / Then the Rockbox Firmware (black writing)/
Then it will go back to SansDisc Splash and the Computer Brings up a Page for SansDisc Drive E and Removable drive F (Both Drives are Recognized)/ At the same time it does :
/ Refresh Data /  Then  Music or Settings Etc Mode / Then back to the: / SansDisc Connected Splash /

As you Guy's advised I Downloaded Rockbox 1.2.2 Install / Run “Boot utility” / open / Etc / Unzipped all files to Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\DT58QUQ0\rbutilqt-v1.2.2[1]/
Then In the Rockbox Utility I clicked / Minimum Install / and then it came up / Download 3.3 successful /
If I start without using the USB cable and not connected to the Computer It still goes / Black screen/ unless I hold down the “Forward Button” then it goes to / Yellow Rockbox (5) Logo / Then the Rockbox Firmware/ SansDisc Splash / Then back to SD Slash/Refresh Data/SD Music or Settings Etc Mode/
However in in USB or Normal Start if I go to /SanDisk menu / SansDisk Settings / It still Say's  “Version010107P” Etc
I hope this is more legible thanks Dasha ;D

As of yet I don't think you have installed RockBox on your player.  You might have the Bootloader.

Remove the SD card.
Start the player in the MSC mode.
Plug it into your computer.
Start Rockbox Utility.
Does it recognize your player in the Device line at the top .
If not click on Browse and Autodect.
If that doesn't work, hand select your device from Brouse.
Go to Installation tab.
Click Install Rockbox.
Click Current build.
Unclick the Dackup and Cache Boxes.
Click  Install.
Once this completes, close RButility and disconnect your player.
Shutdown the player and then Start it.

Hope this works.

Hi bruceHP :) Well I did as you said to the letter,R/box utility recognised the [drive (E)  Sansdisc e200] All went well however there is no change except the SD card has been removed as you required.
I have to hold down both the 'Reverse Button' and start button when I "start" it or if goes to "black screen"?? ??? ::)

I managed to get some more info from the R/box Firmware on start:
[Calculated CrC32 -- 6842]
[binary type rp05]

If I  Turn on my SansDisk normally And Or by Connecting Via the USB Cable to my Computer:
It shoe's /the Yellow Rockbox (5) Logo / Then the Rockbox Firmware
[Calculated CrC32 -- 6842]
[binary type rp05(black writing]

Then it will go back to SansDisc Splash and the Computer Brings up a Page for SansDisc Drive E and Removable drive F (Both Drives are Recognized)/ At the same time it does :
/  Refresh Data /  Then  Music or Settings Etc Mode / Then back to the: / SansDisc Connected Splash / thanks you have the patience of a saint bruceHP, Dasha

You might try to reload the Bootloader.

If that doesn't work, you might have to start over by Uninstallling everything or even Formatting the player.

I have no idea what any of those messages mean.

Dasha, if you're seeing the Rockbox logo at boot time it means that Rockbox is booting.  Seeing the SanDisk directly after this means that Rockbox crashes immediately when you try to boot.

I'm a bit curious about the fact that you tried to update the original firmware and it didn't work (you still have version 01.01.07p on your player). It's probably best at this point to try to get to a known state. If you follow the recovery instructions that I linked earlier then you should end up with a stock SanDisk setup (with no Rockbox bootloader installed).  Feel free to ask further questions about this.

01.01.07 firmware is for the c200 players not the e200
Have you got the correct firmware for your player?

Thanks robin0800  :)That's a darn good question :-\" during Rockbox utility (last action)
As I was following Chronon's advice; I Downloaded Rockbox 1.2.2 Install / Run “Boot utility” / open / Etc / Unzipped all files to Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\DT58QUQ0\rbutilqt-v1.2.2[1]/  ???

At this point the utility Recognised my player as "Sansdisk e200" in the top line above "Complete Install of Rockbox" I also clicked Browse but the C200 was highlighted so I select e200 and continued with the install.
Then In the Rockbox Utility I clicked /Complete Install/ and then it came up / Download 3.3 successful /

In the Rockbox "Current Rockbox Build" Page all the various pictures's of compatible devices are identified? The Picture for the C200 is the one that is the same to look at as mine the e200 is a different device.
However I just went back to that page and both c200 and e200 have the same build version code number it is: " r22381"
So as you can see it's all very strange and for me totally confusing. Does this mean that I was sold an outdated Sansdisk c200 instead of the latest version e200 back nearly 3 years ago?? I just do not understand? Why me?? Dasha :-[

If you think it looks like a c200 and the Rockbox utility detected it as a c200 and the original firmware version sounds like one of a c200, chances are that it really is a c200. - If it has a button "ring" around an almost square centre button and a landscape screen then it is a c200, the e200 has a wheel below a portrait screen (and is a bit bigger). C200 models can have a capacity of 1 or 2GB, e200s have 2, 4, 6 or 8GB capacity.

As far as I know the both are technically not much different (apart from those obvious things) but internally they both use the same processor and audio hardware, so I guess they are from about the same time just different models (a small and a bigger one, not an old vs. new thing).

Just to be sure, check out a few photographs of c200s here:
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=sansa+c250

then look at pictures of e200s here:
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=sansa+e250

I'm betting you have a c200.

Does the built-in firmware have both a an MSC USB mode and a Format command?

There are individual builds for the c200 and the e200.

Boot the c200 into the Sansa firmware by switching it on and immediately pressing and holding the "Rewind" button until you see the Sansa menu appear. Scroll down to the "Settings" menu then scroll down to the "USB" menu. Make sure there is a check mark beside "MSC". Plug in the USB cable to your PC.

Run Rockbox utility. Look at the "Selected device" line and ensure it mentions c200v1. If it doesn't, click on  the "Change" button, then click on the "Autodetect button" (near the bottom of the page). Then click on "OK". At this point the Selected device line should show c200v1.

Make sure the "Quick Start" tab is selected, then click on "Complete Installation". Select "OK" to go ahead and install Rockbox 3.3 for the c200v1. Carefully follow the prompts and you should end up with a correct installation.

If you encounter problems, report back. Good luck.
