Disable Volume Control?

(1/2) > >>

Venedor:
I know this is a really odd question, but I have my E200 V1 hooked up to either my car sound system, or surround sound system.  Sometimes when I go to switch tracks, or look at the current track my finger slips a bit and changes the volume. Is there a way to disable volume control by chance?

nls:
Yes, but you need to change the source code and compile rockbox yourself, just removing the button mapping for the volume change actions should do it.

Multiplex:
If your player has a line out, that is usually (and where possible) set to an appropriate level which doesn't change with the volume.

Chronon:
As far as I have read, the e200 doesn't have a fixed line level due to how volume at the headphone jack is handled.  I don't have any way to check the current behavior since I have no device that can access line out pins for my e280.

yapper:
Currently the e200 line out level varies when the volume is adjusted. See this topic for more details: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=21390.0
