Pause and resume FM radio

It is possible to record and play a file at the same time whit rockbox? I dreamed about a pause feature for the Fm radio like a Tivo does for live television.

But I maybe dreamed to much...

You can record FM radio already on targets that support both features. But you currently can't playback and record at the same time, except in the case of the FM radio.

Keep in mind that some targets don't support the full audio resolution in recording mode. The Sansa e200 devices are one of these and you are limited to 22khz stereo. Whereas FM has an upper resolution limit of ~32khz.

I actually pondered a feature like this and posted it elsewhere on these forums but it has a lot of considerations and speedbumps.

I seem to remember that it is technically possible (at least on some players) to have audio in and out active at the same time so I suppose the buffering in the record/playback engines is the reason that you can't do both at the same time - but it could be done with a lot of work (and someone who cared enough to do that work)
