playback all folders consecutively...
(1/1)
manoutoftime:
I'm using rockbox 3.3 on an iPod 3G.
I have my music set up so that each album is a separate folder (as in windows explorer).
Can rockbox play from a folder by hitting "play" at the folder level or do I have to open the folder and press "play" on the first song?
Can rockbox play each folder consecutively?
In other words, when the last song in folder A finishes playing, the first song in the next folder automatically begins.
Or do I have to go back to the "files" screen on the menu to manually navigate to the next album?
The switch to turn on/off this feature must be in the "settings", but I'm unable to find it.
Alternatively, when the last song in folder A completes and the player goes back to the list of folders, can I default rockbox to go back to the last folder played or does it have to default to the first folder in the list. This is a bother since I probably have 30 or 40 folders and it's a bugger to have to always navigate from the first folder again as opposed to the last folder that just finished played.
Thanks!

You'll have to enter the folder and hit select on the first song you want it to play

Yes.

Have you consulted the fine manual?
You'll need to go into "Settings->Playback Settings" and set "Auto-Change directory" to "Yes", and then make sure "Repeat" is set to "Off".
