Ipod Random Lockups?
« on: July 30, 2009, 11:54:39 PM »
Hi there firstly I just wanted to thank all those that have worked an contributed to rockbox. I was really frustrated with using my ipod before, but now with rockbox I can use it how I want to. I really like the flexibility an options rockbox give.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed elseware but I thought it warrented it's own thread.

I'm running the stable 3.3 release atm an the issue I'm having currently is that well not really an issue but more a very slight annoyance ;)

Now an again my 80gig 5.5 ipod will lockup forcing me to do a hard reset. This only seems to happen most when I'm ethier scanning through a tune or forward advancing to the next one. Sometimes it will be a long time before it locks up again and days go by before it does it again.

I think it's mostly when the hardrive is spinning up to buffer but instead of the spinup the total lockup occurs.

Again thank you for the firmware it's great :D.
