Timestretch - Jumps if low anti skip buffer used??

(1/1)

Hi,

Just looked at the timestretch feature - great, just what i need for running dance classes....

Initially struggled getting it to work, it kept playing, then pausing.....

I use a h120 with a CF - as a result, i use a very low anti skip buffer (5s) to prevent battery wastage.

When i increased the anti -skip buffer to 30s the timestretch worked fine....

is this repeatably by anyone else?   -  hope this helps anyone else who's had this problem....

I might guess that this is a result of accessing the CF card being slow.  When you increase the anti-skip, Rockbox starts to rebuffer when more data is still in the buffer, i.e. it starts to rebuffer sooner.  Perhaps if you are speeding up the audio with timetretching it needs more data more quickly, and so empties the remaining buffer before it has chance to refill.
