What player would you buy today, to use Rockbox?

If you were going to buy a current, new player to install Rockbox on, what player would that be?

None of the current players are supported, only the older ones. The newest that is currently being worked on, though, are the AMS-based Sansa models, though there is no official build available yet for those.

there ARE, however, official TEST builds.  read all of the warnings before you install, and don't attempt to do it if you don't think you can.

While not current, I would buy a Sansa e2xx V1.  It should be very inexpensive even with an 8Gb Micro SD card.  Accessories have even a better price.

Is there a marketplace forum where we have a chance of someone knowing what we're asking for?  (Why on Earth wouldn't you want a new one?   >:(
