Sansa E200 Low Battery
« on: July 27, 2009, 09:44:09 AM »
my sansa e200 has really low battery and when I try to load the original firmware by plugging it into the computer - it slowly dies off during the "refresh database". also the battery is too low to start the rockbox firmware.

Do I have to buy a new battery?

That's how it looks, doesn't it? ;) There are plenty of them on ebay, try to find out, which ones are good and buy one.

Does anybody know if maybe this "wall-charger" for sandisk sansa e200 would solve this problem? It just seems so weird that I have to change the whole battery.

You haven't said how you are currently attempting to charge it. Preferably you should connect the USB cable directly to your PC (not through a USB hub).

Un-powered USB hubs cause many problems with players, caners, printers, etc., but a Powered hub should have no problen charging your player.  If it is dieing while plugged in, it isn't getting any juice or the battery is dieing.

Try plugging it in while it is turned off, but it must be unlocked.
