iPod 5G video (30 GB and 60 GB versions)

Well, I understand that I need a current .voice file that matches up with the build I pick. When I went to install the software on the 30 GB Video manually, I got everything from
http://www.rockbox.org/download/byhand.cgi

I went to the install for the iPod video 30 GB, and then downloaded the matching voice file. If the voice file doesn't match up to the version I installed, then it is because the link was wrong, not because I just randomly picked a .voice file. Why  though would it do what it is doing with my issues on both players, especially since i know that i have the right file for the manual install? The problems are the exact same.

The reason I wanted an older version of Rockbox, post 2.5 I guess, is because I know that there weren't the issues that I am having. On my iPod nano, I don't have any of the issues, and everything lines up exactly with the manual. If I get an old version of Rockbox, and an old .voice file that matches up to what I am installing, then I am guessing this will be a lot easier for me and you guys.

The reason I posted this in the Player specific thread was because I don't think this is just a .voice problem, but possibly something having to do with my two specific players. Maybe something on the players themselves is screwing this up?
