No I did not.
I said it was way more than [just] ok.  32, 16, 48, likely even 60, don't worry about it.
Even a bit higher is likely "ok", though more people start to complain about the player not being loud enough.

Higher is easier on the amp (less distortion since its drawing less power) but quieter (again because of less power).

Yes.
If you can hear that distortion is another issue.
Stop worrying about this aspect.  It's cool.

I will point out that I have had great sounding phones with impedances ranging from 16 ohms to 63 ohms.
