I tried in msc and mtp mode but I can't find a directory like /media/sansa e200.....it is means that I must use windows?if I install Rockbox on my sansa e280 with an another computer with windows, after i will find problems to use it with my "ubuntu" computer?
I can't utilize Autodetect to find the device on the filesystem, and I don't know how to find it manually.
thanks for the answers.let me make clear the following points: 1) I have just updated the system also with HAL but when i connect the player in MSC mode, it shifts from connected to disconnected 2-3 times before staying disconnected.
2) when I open rockbox utility I get the following message: "your configuration is invalid.this most likely due to a changed device path.the configuration dialog will now open to allow you to correct the problem".that is why I searched unsuccessfully the mountpoint in the filesystem.
3)following the manual I tried also the Rockbox bootloader installation with sansapatcher but on the terminal appair that:
4) the manual suggest: "The Rockbox bootloader is loaded from disk by the Sansa bootloader" but opening the disk I didn't find anything useful.what I have missed?
Usually this means you need to run Rockbox Utility as root. This is only required for the installation of the bootloader
I have tried to install Rockbox bootloader with sansapatcher and the terminal, but don't work.
