Slow track skipping
pondlife:
Sorry - I thought that problem (limit of 32767 entries?) had been resolved a while back.
FWIW, I use dircache on a fairly large collection with 39833 entries, which gives a cache size of 24520008 bytes.

waiwhut ;D
I just worked through my mp3 collection and deleted all the songs I just cant listen to anymore... I'm below 1000 again :D
And while we're at it, I thought I might ask another question, even if not related to the thread title. This time I even browsed the manual for an according entry, but I couldnt find anything. Anyway, here goes:
When I power off the iPod, either by waiting for the idle time shutdown or holding down the play button, it immediately reboots itself. So the only thing I can do is power it down, put it on hold, which makes it boot with ipod firmware and then wait for the idle power off - I think.
Long story short... how do I turn that thing off? ;D
found this: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=14520.0 , so basically it seems imdoinitrite anyway?
yapper:
Yes, Rockbox is unable to set the hardware into "Sleep" mode, so you need to use the Apple firmware for that.
halloi:

bb
EDIT: found it ;) and it solved my "wait 1 minute for next track" problem
