Need to Replace H140, Rockbox compatible & external mic recording a must

(1/1)

Hi,

My Iriver H140 died, I've also owned an H320 and it was stolen.  Liked the 140 better for recording with rockbox, helped me easily record my bands gigs on the fly when getting a recording played 2nd fiddle to actually making sure my rig worked and the sound system was up and running.

I have been using my laptop to record with my little stereo Sony ECM-DS70p (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-ECM-DS70P-Electret-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B00006HOLL) which has worked out great thus far but sometimes I don't have time or space to set all that up and need to consider buying a new smaller player/ recorder to replace my H140.

I've researched a bit and it seems like theres so many options I figured I'd ask you guys because surely you understand my situation much better than the average sales staff at Best Buy who has no idea.  Any articles or resources are appreciated - actual links to possible replacements help me very much!  Thank you, I will take your recommendations very seriously.  THANK YOU TO ROCK BOX TOO!!!

I'd recommend to look for another H140
