Version 3.3 - this new USB mode for H10 useless for me

(1/1)

milpop:
Hello.
I installed today the new 3.3 version (upgrade from 3.2) on my iRiver H10 6GB UMS player and now I have this "USB mode". I don't really need it, because before, with previous RockBox versions, if I plug the cable while the player is OFF, and then I turn the player ON, I get into USB (emergency USB?) mode. If I plug the cable while the player is ON, then it just started to charge, but will continue to play. So I can decide whether I want to use USB mode or CHARGE + PLAY mode by pluging cable while player ON or OFF. Now when I plug the cable while playing, I go in USB mode, and there is no way (at least I din't see a way) to leave the player playing. So in my car when I decide to use the cable for charging it will go into USB mode and I will not have music.
I didn't see an option to switch this new "USB mode" on and off.
That's why I had to downgrade to v3.2 which seems perfect to me.
Any opinions?

On the Sansa e200 players, you just have to hold the Select (center) button when you plug the player in to have it charge without interrupting playback. I imagine the H10 has a similar function (documented in its manual).

EDIT: Yep.

The player can be powered over USB without connecting to your computer by holding Select while plugging in. This allows you to continue using the player normally.

OK, I installed 3.3 and tried with [select] button - it works. Thank you.
