Does Rockbox 3.3 charge Sansa e200 battery now?
blujay:
I noticed that 3.3 supports USB now; what about charging the battery? Do I still need to boot into the original firmware to charge the battery, or to charge it faster?
ej0rge:
charging has been working for a while now, but the 3.3 release bootloader will still boot the OF if you plug in the cable with the sansa turned off.
There is an official test build of a new bootloader that boots rockbox by default on usb power-up though, and so far it seems ok.
saratoga:
Charging for the Sansas was enabled in January.
HMZ:
I've installed the test bootloader, and charging generally works. But when I charge my Sansa e260 v1 over night, rockbox-info shows a battery status of 93 %. It will never be more, even if the device stays connected one more day. What's that?
yapper:
Charge your Sansa overnight using the Sansa firmware. Then boot into Rockbox and see what it reports for the battery status, as the issue may be with your battery.
