30Gb iPod Video Crashing
« on: July 06, 2009, 11:24:19 AM »
Hey guys, I LOVE Rockbox and would really like to get this figured out so I can keep using it.

The problem I'm having is that the randomly the iPod will completely shut off.
Doesn't matter what I'm doing, i.e. playing a song, game or trying to build the database.

-Currently running R21682M-090706
-I have also tried rev 3.3 to no avail
-Installed using the Rockbox Utility's complete install option
-Works fine with boring Apple firmware
-HDD has been checked by Vista and repaired

Any ideas?
Thanks in advanced for any help!

Silly questions:
- Are you are loading the 32MB build or the 64MB build?
- What patches are you building with? (The M in the R21682M indicates a patched build which is not supported.)

Definitely not silly questions. Leave those up to me! ;D

Not sure. Just ran with whatever the utility suggested. I've seen the referenced in other posts, but dont know how to tell.

Don't know this one either. If I remember correctly, this build was the one that came down when i selected the daily build.

I have the 30Gb version selected and this is what shows up in the RockBox utility.
I also reverted back to 3.3 and it seems to be behaving now, so I'm going to us it for a few days and see how it works out.

And thank you for the quick reply!
