Cannot open iPod - iPod Mini 2G (6GB)

Hi,

i just try´d to install the RockBox on my iPod Mini 2G. But it doesnt work.
In automatic and manual install mode it says "Cannot open iPod" when trying to install the Bootloader.

I am logged in as "root"
OS: Mac OS X 10.5.7 (MacBook 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo)
RockBox Version rbutilqt 1.2.2 (SVN $Revision: 21319 $), build Jun 18 20
The iPod Mini is FAT32 formatted on a PC using iTunes latest Version

iTunes is NOT running on my MacBook when trying to install RB
Autodetect works: It is detected as a Mini 2G
MountPoint is also Autodetected

Any Ideas what i possible can do to make it work?

As I neither own nor have access to a Mac I can't try anything in this area unfortunately. You could try the older version 1.0.7 or ipodpatcher and check if that works. Perhaps there is still something broken with bootloader installation on OS X. Another thing you could try is to install directly after starting Rockbox Utility, i.e. without using Autodetection before.
