Hello! My problem connected with battery. In OF my battery show 90% of capacity. Then i switch to rockbox and its show near 90 %. Then i start to listen music ( Flac , Acc, m4a , and less mp3)
My ipod turn off after 2 hours !!!! When i turn it on, its show 1%-5% and in battery debug its switches very fast in range 1-52m of battery capacity. then i reload ipod to OF and its show 1 % ( Red indicator)
I forgot about it for a couple of hours , then i look to it and it show 50 % !!! I start to listen music and player discharge only after 4 hours or so . Where can be problem ? Why rockbox cant fully use battery ? Why rockbox shutdown when of work fine after a few minutes. Its problem appear after i installed latest build through rockbox installer( before was firmware in about half of year ago installed) Where can be problem ? under OF ipod work fine and normally and discharging in about 8 hours but not 2 !

Are you charging the battery using the OF or Rockbox? Rockbox has issues with charging over USB on many iPod models at present, and will charge very slowly or not at all. Which specific model do you have?
Were you using a stable release before? Do you know which version? Have you tried using the stable 3.3 release rather than the current version?
I get over 21 hours of music playback on my iPod Video 80GB so Rockbox is certainly capable of doing much better. :)

A typical failure pattern of lithium chemistry batteries is an increasing internal resistance (low voltage under load, decreased capacity - both consistent with this report) and increased "recovery" time (the time between the dips in voltage (and thus apparent remaining capacity) and a return to "real" levels (again consistent with this report.)
But...
Let's start by following torne's hinted at advice and try again after charging in the Apple firmware. I rather suspect this is not the problem, though. I forsee a new battery in your future. :(

So, I used all versions in backup of my ipod, i dont know why but 3,2 and 3,3 crap .....
they always use my disk, have no idea why but it really always read/write it , by the way can i some how read dmesg ? I used old version that i found its r19035-081107. nad it still discharging very fast in rock box but after reload its about 50 % or more in OF ....
May be i must buy new ipod ( I got 4 realloc already on it ..... Maybe problem in bad MFT of player or something ... Ok thank u, and i use 30 gb video ipod ....
And 1 thing . I cant uderstand but new version use only 1 core instead of 2 , core 1 always in idle but core 0 always 0% idle , why it is so ?

I don't know how Apple calculates remaining battery capacity. I do know how Rockbox does. Rockbox does it the established way. You can't compare apples to oranges.

No, I'm guessing at this point you need a new battery.
I see no evidence a bad MFT has anything to do with this.

Only specific tasks are given to the second core, playback a MP3 and you'll see core 1 quite active.
