i can't find the mountpoint of the e280 to install Rockbox with Ubuntu
Egor:
hello to everyone. yesterday I try to install Rockbox on my e280. at first I change the usb mode of the player in msc, as written on the manual, I connect it to the computer and I download Rockbox.my problem is that when I open Rockbox Utility, I can't utilize Autodetect to find the device on the filesystem, and I don't know how to find it manually. I utilize the last version of Ubuntu. Anyone can help me please?
thanks in advance

The mount point is probably something like "/media/Sansa e200". It's the directory that you access your player's filesystem from.
If you can't mount your Sansa, you may be experiencing this Ubuntu bug.

MTP mode won't allow you to install Rockbox at all.
MSC mode is required, but that is what is being affected by the bug which cool_walking_ referred you to. And yes, installing Rockbox on another computer won't help fix the bug, since it's a bug with Ubuntu, not with Rockbox.
