Sansa e200 series doesn't appear in Linux, does in Windows.

Some people said this would only worked temporarily, but it has worked for months now for me.  It was a pain rebooting every time I wanted to use my sansa, so I hope this helps.

Deleting the entire file is a bit extreme - you only need to comment out the entries in it for the sansa. Deleting it means you lose all the other features it provides.

That's true, but so far I haven't noticed any problems. For me it was more trouble when the sansa would not mount.
