Rockbox does not load on Sasnsa e200 if powered from the dock
(1/1)
audiophile007:
I just upgraded to the latest version of Rockbox on my sansa e200 and discovered one major flow: when sansa is powered from the dock it loads the rockbox welcome screen however does not load rockbox itself, but goes on to load original firmware as if I was pressing "left" key....if powered manually, everything works.
this is very frustrating since I use the dock in my car and at home....my old rockbox/bootloader version worked flawlessly from November 2008, WHERE CAN I GET IT BACK AGAIN ??? I have no time for debugging/patching newer version
I believe it is bootloader bug, so I need the version of bootloader from 2008
thank you.

The bootloaders have always done this. Theres an updated one that does not, but it has not been released officially yet:

Well, the current bootloader code was commited in October of 2008, so either something was wrong with your bootloader, or you're maybe running a much older bootloader then you think (maybe one predating USB code in Rockbox).

You're welcome to grab it off of the download server, but as I said before a better idea would to grab the above bootloader since it will do what you want and the old one probably will not.

Did you try starting the player before you place it in the dock, this works for me.
