Sansa c240 USB issues with release 3.3
(1/1)
gtinker:
Hi,
I recently updated my Sansa c240 from build r20146 to release 3.3 and encountered the following issues:
When I connect to a USB 2.0 port on my Dell Inspiron laptop (Windows XP SP2) the USB icon
appears on the Sansa screen, but no connection is made to the laptop. In fact the laptop freezes
completely (no response to mouse or keyboard) and requires power cycling to recover.
However, everything works fine if I use a USB 1.0 port on the same laptop.
With build r20146 both the USB 2.0 and 1.0 ports work fine.
Secondly, when playing music and I skip to the next track, there is a much longer delay until it actually skips. A similar delay occurs from when I press stop, to the player actually stopping.
I'm just guessing, but this suggests that the audio buffer size has been increased since r20146. Is this the case?
I don't know if either of these are bugs, or just my particular setup, but I thought I would mention them to see if anyone else has had similar experience.
Thanks.
Chronon:
I will give a play with my e280 to see if I have any issues with USB. I haven't had a chance to update all of my players yet.
yapper:
I've used my c200 extensively and haven't noticed any issues with either USB or responsiveness.
