*PANIC* Stkov tagcache error on building DB with 1 mp3 on v3.3
Multiplex:
Good work
Now that you've isolated this it would be worth adding an entry to the Bug Tracker - the forums are a bit 'noisy' for some of the developers.
I'm sure that there is a published limit for the maximum depth of the directory structure - but it aught to be handled a bit better than stack overflow!
EDIT: Not exactly "documented" but it has cropped up before;

No sign of anything in Flyspray though so I'd definately get it raised and maybe it'll get fixed

Hi Multiplex,
Thanks for dropping by. I jumped onto irc to check with some of the rockbox team to see if it was an expected issue and they have advised me to raise a Flyspray http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/10396.
Potentially it seems to affect coldfire based machines as someone confirmed the issue on an M5 but the issue didn't occur on a Sansa MicroSD.
We'll see what happens from here.
Thanks for your help.

Confirmed same problem on my H320 while rebuilding database, version r21574-090630
As far as Windows not giving me errors, fsck.vfat on Ubuntu Linux gave me this pretty little picture:
--- Code: ---kudos@xbmc-media:~$ sudo fsck.vfat -vatw /dev/sdb1
dosfsck 3.0.1 (23 Nov 2008)
dosfsck 3.0.1, 23 Nov 2008, FAT32, LFN
Checking we can access the last sector of the filesystem
There are differences between boot sector and its backup.
Differences: (offset:original/backup)
65:02/00
Not automatically fixing this.
File system has 1219839 clusters but only space for 1219838 FAT entries.
--- End code ---
My guess is that chkdsk recognizes this and also refuses to fix it... thank God for verbose mode! My understanding at this point is that I need to back up the files on the disk, wipe it, and reformat it. I'll get back to you on wether or not this resolves the problem on my disk.
@alienrider:
Can you see if you're getting the same error as I am?
If you have access to linux, try running the following in a terminal(assuming /dev/sdbi is the drive):
--- Code: ---sudo fsck.vfat -vatw /dev/sdb1
--- End code ---
To check which device is your H300, run the following:
--- Code: ---sudo fdisk -l
--- End code ---
Your device will be under something like this heading:
--- Code: ---Disk /dev/[whatever]: 20.0 GB, 20000268288 bytes
--- End code ---

It looks like a fix for this just went into SVN.

autofyrsto:
I don't think I had the Six Folders Deep error, but I was hitting a "stkov tagcache" error as my database build count hit about 9700. Installing the new Rockbox build r21577-090630 solved that problem. The database build count went beyond 15000 and through to completion. I now have a database!
