Crossfade on pause

Is there some way to get crossfade on pause to overlap?
I listen to audio books and it's possible for words to get lost during the pause. I like the crossfade otherwise.

There's the "rewind on headphone" unplug setting, which doesn't do what you want... I don't know why that's not a general rewind on pause setting.

features. While I agree it's annoying (and I want it for a slightly different case : car adapter mode), it's working as designed so not a bug
