Cannot assign drive letter.

I'm trying to install on a Sansa e280 V03.01.11E,
but I cannot assign a drive letter to begin the installation, with the Sansa coming up in my computer as Sansa e280.
I know this problem can be fixed by changing the USB mode of the Mp3 player, however this option is not available to me on my menu.

Is there any other way to do this?

All help appreciated.

Your Sansa is a version 2. Rockbox doesn't run on the v2 Sansas (yet). You'll find this in the FAQ: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaFAQ

As you've been told, this model is not supported in Rockbox yet (though work on it is very active).  But you can get the USB setting to appear on this model by updating the Sansa firmware to 3.01.16 (at least, that is what I had to do).
