One more time about XM/IT/S3M
Gagarin:
Hi. I just got my Rockbox on iPod Nano 2GB and I love it now more then my iPod Touch :)
The best feature is playing mod files that I had to convert into mp3 before. However mod works great, I'm missing xm/s3m and it plugin.
I searched website and forum, and I found mikmod plugin, however I don't know how to make it working. It has .patch extension, and I belive it should be .codec. Please, can someone help me on that....?
Llorean:
You'll need to compile a modified version of Rockbox with that patch applied. See the development section of the wiki to get started learning how to compile.
Gagarin:
I checked the Wiki
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SimpleGuideToCompiling
and to be honest - still don't know what to do.
All I need is that mikmod codec. Can someone send it to me...?

Please!

Well assuming you are a windows user the easiest way to compile is to first install Cygwin (from http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/CygwinInstallWithScreenShots), then follow the instructions from http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SimpleGuideToCompiling to compile the source code into a format your player can actually use.
The commands described in the SimpleGuideToCompiling are to be used in the Cygwin BASH shell. Dont be afraid of the terminal, its actually rather easy to do and has no reason to be scary or bad. After you learn how to compile you will be surprised on how easy it actually is :) .
Gagarin:
Do I really need to compile the whole source just to add xm/it/s3m plugin?
Maybe I just need to add a codec with with into codecs folder?
If yes, that would be so much easier for me, couse still have problems with mikmod.
