If you want to use Rockbox's USB mode, then yes.  Its not enabled in 3.2.

MisterBixby:
Thank you. I'm new to this. How long does it take for a build to go from "current" to stable?

Chronon:
That's not quite the way it works.  Stable releases are always distinct from the current builds.  They are produced by branching the source trunk and freezing/bugfixing that for a period of time.  The release is static and doesn't change.  Current builds and releases are disjoint.  So, a current build never becomes a stable release per se.   A new release is expected shortly.

On a similar note (I think)...

I have a rockboxed sansa e240. Previously when I plugged it into my car FM adapter/charger it would automatically turn on and load rockbox. This was very convenient. Now it automatically boots to sansa firmware, which is pretty inconvenient. Is this because it thinks the FM adapter/charger is a USB connection so it should go to default firmware?

If this is the case, is there any foreseeable way to make the player able figure out the difference?
