iPod Video 5.5 microphone recording question
« on: June 11, 2009, 08:01:05 PM »
Does anyone know of a small microphone that can be attached to the iPod Video (5.5g) dock?

A couple things:

  • I don't want a two-part solution, like a line in adapter and a separate preamp/mic.
  • It must be small and not significantly change the profile of the iPod. This leaves out the Xtrememac Micromemo stuff.
  • A line in input is nice, but not required.
  • Great sound quality is optional. I want the equivalent of a microcassette recorder, without having to carry a microcassette recorder around.

It seems that the Griffin iTalk is what I'm looking for, but I've found nothing conclusive in the forums as far as if the microphone part of it works.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
