Think I might have bricked my Sansa c240...

(1/1)

Hochler:
Just installed it on my c240 a few minutes ago. Everything was working fine (booted fine, played mp3s, etc) until I shut it off and tried turning it back on. Now all it does is light the blue LED menu ring. It's unrecognized by Vista, and I can't seem to get in recovery or diagnostics. Whether the hold switch is on or off, it still boots when I hit "Power". Any help? Thanks.

Chronon:
See if this page helps: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200Unbrick

Hochler:
Yea, I tried that. I can't get into Recovery Mode or Diagnostic Mode. I'm going to try Manufacturing Mode later when I boot into linux.

EDIT: Actually, now it's being recognized as a "Tango Digital Media Platform" but Vista can't install the driver or access it.

EDIT2: Just did a c240erase and e200tool, and everything works fine now. Sorry for wasting your time, and thanks for the help. :D

Chronon:
There's no reason to apologize.

I'm glad you got it working.   ;)
