Rockbox Max Volume Lowered?

i noticed that the volume seems to be lowered in Rockbox as it goes usually from something like -20ish to +20ish but right now i cant go past +6db.

any idea what's wrong?

p.s. im currently using r21236

was this changed recently? ... because it used to be +20 range or so... which is what i want it to be back to since volume is limited when @ +6 in some cases.

It was never +20.

Seriously, if you're listening at even +6 you're probably causing serious damage to your ears.

Assuming the player in question is the e250 mentioned in your posts, since it was first supported volume has gone up to only +6, which is the full range of the hardware itself. Anything above 0 is likely to suffer distortion though, as well as being bad for your hearing.
