Will there ever be an MTP mode for Rockbox?

Will rockbox ever support MTP mode?  It seems like MediaMonkey will support the external card in MTP mode.  In MSC mode it appears as two drives.  I'd like to be able to sync with MM or anyother program where it will treat the onboard and the external as one drive and do the right thing with playlists and such.  Right now I have to maintain two different sync lists.  It's a pain.  And I can't generate playlists that cross the two disks.

Well, why don't you ask the MediaMonkey developers to support arbitrary devices? MTP is ... well, a somewhat pointless thing. If someone steps up and does the work of implementing MTP for Rockbox it will be supported. However, unless someone does the work it won't be supported. And as far as I can see not too much developers are interested in MTP but rather interested in UMS mode.

Yeah..  That's what I kinda figured the response would be..  And I have asked the MM guys about it..  Haven't heard anything yet...

Too bad MM wasn't open source!
