sansa e280v2 hardware issue ?

hello,
I have a sansa e280v2 . The problem is as follows: when I connect it to my PC using the USB cable, nothing is detected by the PC, but the sansa says "Connected".
If I put the sansa on the sandisk dock station, it also says "connected" (even if the station is not connected to the PC), but there is no sound going out from the station.
I have another e280 which works perfectly with the same usb cable and dock station, so the problem definitively comes from the player.
I have tried many operations (reset, format), nothing.

The only thing I didn't try is the recovery mode with the linux distrib as it's quite tricky to put in place.

Any idea?

Sorry, but these aren't general support forums. The Sansa e200v2 is not a supported Rockbox target. You're best off asking for general help at a place like the Anything but iPod forums.
