iPod Nano 1st Gen: Unable to play audio while charging

I am currently using the latest RockBox 3.2-090323 and Apple original firmware 1.3.1.

While charging my iPod with a generic USB-AC adapter, I am able to listen to music and perform task using Apple original firmware while the battery status show that it is charging.

Switching to Rockbox, the screen just show "Ok to disconnect" with the battery charging but I can't listen music or perform task.

Is this normal? Hope RockBox can be fixed to operate while charging since Apple's firmware can do it.

I have downloaded and view the manual a few times and even searching for the key word "charge" and "charging" without any related information.
