Bug? Last.fm scrobbling logs every file that loads, regardless of time played
(1/1)
BevansDesign:
I've had a problem with Rockbox's Last.fm logging for a couple months now. I assumed it was a bug that would be fixed, but maybe it hasn't been reported yet, or maybe it's not really a bug.
Here's the problem: I have Last.fm scrobbling turned on, and it keeps a log as it should. Normally, it only logs songs I've played for a certain amount of time, but currently it's logging EVERY song that's loaded, regardless of how long it plays. I have it randomly play songs, and I frequently skip songs within 5 seconds of their being loaded, but those songs are logged when they normally aren't.
I'd love to find a solution for this, because this problem pretty much makes scrobbling worthless for me.
This problem cropped up when I installed a new hard drive in my player. It was scrobbling fine before (though I did have my player shelved for several months when my old HD died).
Player: iRiver H120
Version: Just updated to r21203, so it's been a couple versions before that during the past 2 months.
Thanks!

Are you sure it is flagging every loaded song as listened to, or is it properly flagging skipped songs as skipped (L vs S in the log file) and your method of upload is buggy?
BevansDesign:
Whoops, you're right. I forgot the other change I made: I started using an online uploader instead of logscrobbler, which I was using previously. I loaded up LS again, and it's fine.
Sorry for the false alarm!

Yeah. I ran into the same thing a short while back and apparently someone else too: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=21727.0
