dragos240:
Hello!

This is my first time on these forums, I have successfully compiled EVERYTHING, and after many hours with messing with the configure script to find out I had to have special compilers. Anyways, now I have the original firmware for my fuze, and a 2 binary files of rockbox, I have rockbox.bin and rockbox.sansa. I tried to combine rockbox.sansa, and the original firmware into output.bin, but alas, an error occured:

--- Code: ---mkamsboot v1.0 - (C) Dave Chapman and Rafaël Carré 2008

What could be wrong? And if it helps, I use linux 2.6 with BASH.

Have you read the instructions on http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaAMS#Bootloader_Installation ?

Especially

--- Quote ---#  See HowToCompile to build a bootloader (stop after step "5. Build") choosing B for bootloader when prompted.
--- End quote ---

The bootloader is named bootloader-XXX.sansa, not rockbox.sansa
