Ipod Photo 60 gig Can't be controled by JVC KS-PD100
« on: June 04, 2009, 08:41:49 AM »
HI!

Since a year ago i started using my Ipod with the KS-PD100 ipod adapter so i can control my ipod from the JVC Headunit.
But since i installed Rock Box it seems that theres no support for this, normaly when i plug it to the car the ipod shows a screen with the JVC logo saying "Ok to unplug" but with the rock box it only start charging the battery but no sign of control on the headunit.

I made a few test with different setting in the Rock box even turning "car adapter" to On but it dont give me control.

Is there hope or i should roll back to Apple software?

well Rockbox has minimal Apple Protocol support, and not many devices are fully supported.

If you need to use the headset with your iPod you have two choices:

1. Find what protocols it uses and add support for it within Rockbox
                                         -OR-
2. Use the OF for playing music while needing the accessory

Or he could just report a detailed description of the accessory debug screen, and fill in the wiki page, and hope someone else gets to it.

I find that suggestion a little more palatable than telling a (likely) non-programmer to "fix it or deal with it".
