I'm trying to uninstall Rockbox from my Sansa E200r to give to my daughter for college. I followed the instrucions on the site, but somewhere along the line, I seem to have gone astray. When I try a normal start up, I get a Rockbox message telling me it can't find the bootloader. If I hold the Select key for 10 seconds while plugging into the usb socket, I initially get a Rockbox screen, then it reverts to an original screen and says it's updating the database, and then to the original Sansa Connected screen with the green arrows flashing. I tried the Rockbox utility but it tells me there's no Sansa connected, even though the thingy in the systems tray says it is, and I can access it in Windows Explorer.

Can anyone advise me how to proceed please? I'm running the release candidate of Windows 7 by the way.

That's not possible. The bootloader is the first part of Rockbox that runs.  Maybe you mean you got a message from the bootloader saying it can't find rockbox.mi4?  When asking for support like this it's important to give accurate details - what was the exact message?

The Sansa needs to be connected to the PC in MSC mode (not MTP mode).  There's information about this in the installation section of the manual and the SansaFAQ and SansaE200R wiki pages.

Can you link to the instructions you followed?

Since the Rockbox bootloader is able to boot the original firmware I assume that you have an OF.mi4 file located in the /system/ folder of your player.  Is that correct?
