What is pdbox?

I've seen a few commits related to a plugin called "pdbox," yet I cannot find a shred of information that even hints at what "pdbox" is. Can anyone enlighten me?

pdbox is the ongoing GSoC project from wincent.

Its something like a music instrument, a interactive configureable synthesiser or a like. Its hard to describe :-)

Thanks for the reply. I can see what you mean about it being hard to describe. I have a sense of it and don't exactly grasp it, but a sense is enough for now.
