What is the intended use of the USB HID feature?

as i stated, i use r 21133. i have not modified anything.
i connect the device as i did before: i plugin the cable when it's shut off, then wait for it to boot into rockbox, not touching any buttons. i can still manage to access the original fw using |<<.
my start screen is set to main menu.

What happens if you turn it on, wait for it to boot, then plug in the cable once you're safely inside Rockbox?

i get exactly the same behaviour. The player shows the usb sign, windows recognizes the player has been plugged in and asks me to install a driver.

Considering that nobody else is experiencing this with e200s, is there anything else about your situation?
Your player is behaving exactly as if "select" were held down during USB insert.

Is this with an official build? Also, why did you deny driver installation?
