USB Modes

iPod 4G with latest build

I'm using rockbox's USB stack now.  I just wanted to ask, are there different USB modes that I can set the iPod in?  I have a JVC car deck with USB and it doesn't recognize my iPod.  I was hoping there were different USB modes in the stack I could try out.  Thanks!

Depends on what your deck is expecting when you connect a device. Mass Storage? MTP? FAT32 formatted drive? Size limit? Special folder layout? etc.

The stock USB functionality in rockbox should default to mass storage and offer up the full drive in whatever format it is in.

Doublecheck the operation manual for the radio and see what it needs for usb operation. These kind of specialized devices are really finicky about what they will inter-operate with.
