music on SD card

(1/1)

soundklinik33:
Hello, first thank you for creating this software, it is great.
 I have sansa e 270 6GB with a SD card of 2GB giving me a total of 8 GB.
The problem is this: I can't get rid of the music that i put on the SD, it is NOT seen on the PC, i just erased everything from sansa, but there is still music on the SD???. I really don't remember how i put the music on it :-[...Silly I know...
How do I make the SD recognised in Sansa? And how do I erase it? thru my multi reader?
Thanx

saratoga:
You can delete music from within Rockbox or by browsing to the SD card on your computer and deleting it files off of it.

My guess is that you have version 3.2 of Rockbox.  Try loading the Daily build of Rockbox.  Start the Sansa before connecting to the the USB, you card should then be recognized by the computer.

Hello,
I found out that my problem was actually due to several things: MSC mode, new installer 1.2.1 that did not recognise my e-270, (wasn't listed as a hard drive), BUT was fooling me by doing complete installation (I don't know where and to what?) but my sansa wasn't recognised or updated.
I had the previous installation 6-8 months ago and since then, i hardly used it...
So I reinstalled 1.0.7 and bingo :), everything went smooth, just like it should, SD is a drive-H and e-270 drive-I. also I can safely remove it...
cheers
