Is there a way to configure TidyDisk to delete .talk files without deleting _Directoryname.talk files.  Thanks!

Edit to Subject line.

Are you actually asking about Disktidy, or are you referring to some other tool or third party plugin?

Please try to use the same names for things as we do, to avoid the need for such confirming questions.

If there's not an option for it already in DiskTidy, you'd need to make changes to the plugin source and compile a modified version.

I'm not sure I fully understand what you are asking but DiskTidy lets you specify what files it should delete http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-h300/rockbox-buildch11.html#x14-26500011.4.6

I think he wants to delete all files matching *.talk, except those that match _<containing folder name>.talk .  Just from reading http://rockbox.org/wiki/PluginDiskTidy , I don't think you can do that with the current functionality.

Thanks, Unfortunately,  I'm having trouble understanding the documentation, but believe the app will work.

< Title >: no
file.ext: no
sub/folder/: no
file2.ext: no

The above is from the Custom settings info, but the terms aren't clear to me.

If I could set _dirname(.talk) (a voice file) to no and .talk to yes it should work,if I knew what <Title> meant.

So are the files you want to exclude literally named "_dirname.talk"?  I thought "dirname" was a placeholder.

The title is just an identifier that appears in the menu in Rockbox.

Literally, yes.  This is a file produced by the Voice clips process that is in the Accessibility tab of Rockbox Utility.  It allows the voicing of the Directory name.

There may also be *.talk files which are the voices of the file names.

Orphan *.talk file name clips build up in my Podcast directory, as I add and delete files daily from it.
