Keyboard for the Visually Impaired

(1/1)

BruceHP:
Is there a DLable keyboard layout for the Visually Impaired?

Maybe just all caps A-Z and 0-9 in 22pt. Profont.

Thanks!

froggyman:
as for the keyboard check out here: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/LoadableKeyboardLayouts

as for the font: simply load one that you want to use

BruceHP:
Thanks, I got one made and it works when I "Play" the file, but, I put a copy in the .rockbox directory so I would become the "default" keyboard and this doesn't work.  What did I miss.  Is there another directory or a setting I missed?  Thanks!

froggyman:
maybe you need to play it while in the .rockbox directory ???

BruceHP:
Thanks so much, I made it work.

I edited the config.cfg to contain:
kbd: /.rockbox/VIlayout.kbd

with the VIlayout.kbd file in the .rockbox directory.

Thanks, I can now use the Keyboard.

Edit: Decided it was best to add a .and a /  also.
BTW, The files must be in UTF-8 encoding and you must reboot for the changes to take effect.
