How do I make a Task Request in the Tracker?

I made a request last night, but I wasn't given the option to make it a request, so I just put it under bug. Thankfully, it looks like it was deleted sometime in the wee hours of morning.

So how do I make a request?

You don't, feature requests are not accepted on the tracker.  There is a forum where feature ideas can be discussed however.

Bear in mind that forum is for discussion of ideas not exactly feature requests. If you're not actually working on it, reminding people that FLV files could be played in Rockbox isn't all that useful.  Most if not all people are aware they exist.

Yes, but not for a while.  Any still marked feature request should be closed.

Unless someone else happens to decide to, yes.  Rockbox is a project contributed to entirely by volunteers, and people work on what interested them.

I looked and theres no way to bulk close tasks in FS, so the best bet would be to have the admins do a SQL query or just leave them alone.   I think this is the first time someone has not understood that taking away the ability to make feature requests means they should not make them, so its probably not a big deal.

Well I'm sorry, but I didn't know that the ability had been taken away. Still, I agree that it's not something to worry about.
